City Seventeen’s first release spans four tracks and comprises twenty minutes of instrumental music. The packaging is silver metallic ink printed onto matt black gatefold card, hand assembled and individually numbered by the band.

This is not pretty post-rock for its own sake - the music is dark and cold, at times savage and unforgiving - but EP1 has within it a deep store of humanity. The opening track, "Deliverance & Departures", suggests a journey across a bleak landscape. "Analysis" hints at the beginning of obsession, drawing the victim towards madness. "The Elephant In The Room" offers a moment of clarity before "Soft Geometry" documents downfall and watery destruction.
